Welcome to Okotoks Physical Therapy

Okotoks Physical Therapy (OPT) has been serving the Okotoks and Foothills region since 1994. We are the only clinic in Okotoks that have contracts to treat both Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) and Alberta Community Physiotherapy Program (ACPT) clients. Our patrons include the General Public, Athletes, Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) patients, and those who fall under the WCB and ACPT programs.

Our Physical Therapists have experience in orthopaedics, manual therapy and acupuncture. We endeavor to provide our clients with best practice/ research based treatment methods, and encourage our clients to become fully engaged in their rehabilitation.

The ACPT program is under the authority of Alberta Health Services (AHS), and allows us to treat clients who have had a surgical procedure, fracture, or who under certain criteria are considered low income. A limited number of treatments are covered at no cost to the patient.

“OPT” for your health!

Our collaborative treatment approach and years of dedicated service to the Okotoks area have resulted in satisfied clients who are happy to share their experiences at Okotoks Physical Therapy. Many of our previous and current clients recommend Okotoks Physiotherapy to their friends and family.

I started at Okotoks Physical Therapy Ltd. after having a Complex Knee replacement. At this point my leg was still swollen and I needed a lot of help to show me how to get it working again. Neil is a very patient person and over the time I was going there I learned about “no pain no gain”, and you have to really push yourself through that pain and stiffness to get to where you’re leg starts to feel comfortable. Thanks to Neil, walking comes easy now and my hubby was so looking forward to the day when I could go for walks with him and our dog…… woohoo we go out a few times a day and it feels so good! Neighbours commented on my progress, and it was very encouraging. Now it’s 12 weeks since my surgery and I walk comfortably with no crutches or cane. (I still do my exercises)
– Sandra T

Ashley was patient, gentle and very professional in her treatment of my shoulder post-surgery.
– Adam

Ashley is simply amazing. She is very experienced and has a calming demeanour. She spends the full amount of time listening, assimilating and assessing and then communicating a plan of action. She has helped with a long-standing issue where other specialists have not been able to
– Ben W

Been treated by Neil for work injuries and he has help me so much. Highly recommend him, he is amazing!
– Ashley G

My family and I have received wonderful care from Neil and his staff. Neil is very knowledgeable about so many things that help with your therapy and recovery of your injuries. He is really good with children as well. He shows wonderful patience with kids and also listens to them when they have questions and concerns about their therapy. The staff are awesome as well, they are very personable and friendly. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone!
– LeAnne K

I cannot recommend Neil and his team highly enough, 5 stars will have to do. The care I am receiving is top notch… The clinics eclectic philosophy is demonstrated with each visit and the results using a combination of traditional and complimentary therapies are evident as we see the improvement with even the most complex of injuries.
– Sam B

Neil and the staff at this clinic are all excellent, friendly and efficient. Neil helped me through post knee surgery and had my knee flex to 130 degrees, and doing stairs normally at six weeks. The knee clinic wants this by 3 months, so he had me well ahead. I ended up with tendonitis by trying to do more than i should, and Neil assisted with that as well. Overall an excellent clinic, i will go back if the need arises.

Neil, thank you for your skills, dedication, sense of humour, and for using a variety of strategies that helped me to understand that my recovery was/is, a team effort. You lead by example Neil, and you empowered me to work harder to
improve my strength, needs, confidence, and flexibility. You are dedicated to the well being of each of your patients and

Thank You Neil Hergott, Thank you Okotoks Physiotherapy.

– Lori H

Thanks to Neil and the team at Okotoks Physical Therapy

Hi everyone, just want to express my thanks, especially to Neil, for the treatment I received for my back issue and sciatica. The treatment and exercises I received were very helpful. Now I have very little pain, almost none, and am just working on my leg weakness. I found the cobra pose particularly helpful with the sciatica, and I figured out that if I regularly did that pose throughout the day I would have no pain. I am now back at work and looking forward to getting back to my usual activities.

Thanks again
